Job Description
A globally leading consumer device company headquartered in Cupertino, CA is looking for a Lab Technician to join their team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage a large-scale hardware rack testing environment for various firmware projects.
- Manage a myriad of devices and fixtures which run on these device clusters.
- Provide physical in-lab support to enable automated system testing.
- Work with the firmware and hardware engineering teams in setting up the test hardware configurations.
- Work with test automation team in trouble-shooting test environment issues and in improving lab automations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of building and managing lab with devices.
- Technical support experience or equivalent working knowledge in computer hardware and networking.
- Experience in managing MacOS and iOS devices.
- Experience in automating device management using Python, bash and Ansible.
- Strong in diagnosing and resolving system and user-level issues in MacOS, iOS or Linux.
- A team-player in nature with good communications and documentations skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work with customers and colleagues to identify and fix issues with hardware setups.
- Provide problem solving steps to resolve issues easily and effectively.
- Able to help assemble custom test fixtures.
- Creative problem solver able to figure out ways to get things done quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
