Job Description One of our Bioscience clients is looking for a Lab Specialist I to join their team on a 9-month contract. This position operates on a 4/10 shift schedule. There are two shift schedules, Sunday
Wednesday 8am
7pm or Wednesday
Saturday from 8am-7pm.
As a QC Lab Specialist, you'll support daily lab testing of incoming raw milk samples, in-process materials, finished products, and stability samples. You'll be part of a fast-paced Quality Control environment, applying standard lab techniques and contributing to critical manufacturing and lot release testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine lab operations in a QA/QC setting
Accurately and efficiently complete lab testing on all samples
Maintain a safe and clean lab environment
Dispose of waste per company procedures
Apply SOPs and company policies to solve routine lab problems
Ensure the production samples are safe, uncontaminated, traceable, nutritionally consistent, and fully compliant with FDA and cGMP standards.
Testing Includes:
infectious disease & viral pathogen testing
microbiological contamination testing
drug screening
DNA matching & donor verification

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience in a lab environment such as a food microbiology lab, pharma microbiology QC, environmental monitoring, or dairy QA labs
Familiarity with FDA, cGMP, sterile manufacturing, or blood/ plasma screening environments
Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
