Its integrated model embeds skilled Mobility Technicians at the bedside for direct hands-on support with patient mobility activities and dedicated program managers to drive mobility initiatives. Atlas' adaptable technology platform includes monitoring systems that track real-time patient position and turn quality as well as proprietary software that captures mobility analytics to strengthen the consistency, compliance, and effectiveness of mobility protocols. By combining human expertise with data-driven insights, Atlas' unique approach to mobility helps hospitals reduce complications of immobility and staff injuries while improving efficiency and quality of care. About the Role The Mobility Technician (MT) supports safe patient handling and mobility (SPHM) across healthcare facilities. Working with patients and clinical staff at the bedside, MTs ensure safe, effective, and efficient mobility support throughout the patient journey. All team members begin at Level I , with opportunities to progress through four levels (I-IV), each building on the last with increased training, leadership, and operational responsibilities. Shared Responsibilities (All Levels) Assist patients with safe mobility and transfers in clinical environments. Educate and train staff on safe patient handling methodology. Operate, maintain, and utilize patient handling equipment safely and effectively. Document all patient interactions, care staff training, rounding and related activities in Atlas' proprietary software accurately and on time. Communicate effectively and deliver excellent customer service. Work independently while collaborating as part of a team. Follow hospital policies and patient handling protocols, using proper lifting techniques and body mechanics. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability in a fast-paced environment. Meet physical requirements (lift 35 lbs, walk/stand for full shift). Maintain current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association). Maintain all required vaccinations per hospital(s) policies Level Distinctions Mobility Technician I (Entry Level) Learns and performs core mobility duties. Focuses on developing foundational skills and understanding unit workflows. Supports team members and patient care with guidance from supervisors.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months experience in patient care or healthcare, coaching or training experience preferred. Mobility Technician II (Intermediate) Facilitates in-services and assists with unit-specific training sessions. Supports Program Manager with SPHM, Falls, and HAPI-related initiatives. Regularly reviews Mobility Tracker analytics with the Program Manager. Proficient in all functionalities of mobility tracker software and trains peers. Participates in committees or task force meetings as a program representative.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6+ months experience as Mobility Technician 1. Mobility Technician III (Advanced) Acts as a peer mentor and leader for MT I/II team members. Collaborates closely with Program Managers on administrative processes such as SOW log management, ADP entry, and monthly reporting. Assists with scheduling staff training sessions, assigning training lead roles to MT I/II with PM support. Manages and updates Atlas-issued hardware (iPads, phones) at the facility site. Compiles and reviews operational reports with the Program Manager. Identifies facility needs and cultivates strong unit-level relationships to drive solutions.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6+ months experience as Mobility Technician 2 Mobility Technician IV (Senior/Lead) Serves as senior mentor and leader for all MT team members. Trains and evaluates new MTs, documenting performance and development progress, and assists the Program Manager with on-site interviewing of MTs. Lead/Own the New Hire Orientation process for new hospital personnel. Serve as the primary instructor and liaison for training, documentation, and overall oversight under the direction of the Program Manager Oversees maintenance and readiness of hospital lift equipment. Serves as expert in Atlas proprietary software supporting and training staff. Shadows Program Managers and steps in to represent them in meetings with KPOC or committees when delegated. Supports Program Manager with scheduling, shift coverage, interviews, and validation of new hire onboarding. Rounds hospital units independently or with PM to ensure program alignment and staff support. Provides feedback and strategic input on account-level operational issues.
Qualifications:
Minimum 9+ months experience as Mobility Technician 3 Skills & Qualifications (All Levels) Excellent customer service and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and accountable. Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Sound judgment and decision-making skills under pressure. Strong technology skills, with ability to use mainstream and proprietary software. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Must pass medical and drug screening. Career-minded with a strong desire to grow within the company. Prior experience in healthcare, EMS/EMT, military, or physical rehabilitation roles, a plus Experience coaching, training, or mentoring peers, a plus Meet physical requirements (lift 35 lbs, walk/stand for full shift).
