About the Role We are hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our innovation team in Irvine, California. This role will support the synthesis, processing, and testing of bio-based materials and work collaboratively and cross-functionally to gain hands-on experience with how next-generation materials are developed, tested, and scaled. Key Responsibilities Following experimental and analytical procedures to synthesize, process, and test bio-based polymers and materials Performing laboratory prototyping and accurately and clearly recording experimental data in electronic systems Assisting with development of industry-standard materials specifications and carrying out mechanical, physical, and other performance testing Following all laboratory safety and EHS guidelines Collaborating cross-functionally with innovation, scale-up, and product teams to bring innovative materials to market Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field Basic technical understanding of materials, polymers, coatings/adhesives Hands-on lab experience in an academic or industry research setting Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and fast-paced adaptability
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
