Job Title:
Analytical Lab Technician Job Description Looking for a Lab Technician to support our lab by performing a wide range of chemistry laboratory activities, including analytical testing, data management, and lab organization. This role focuses on generating accurate and reliable test results using advanced analytical techniques while ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and relevant regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing using techniques such as HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis to support product development, quality control, and regulatory needs. Prepare and standardize solutions, reagents, and samples according to established procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in testing. Maintain, calibrate, and verify laboratory instruments, including HPLC and GC systems, to ensure accuracy, reliability, and readiness for testing. Interpret, analyze, and document test results in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assist in troubleshooting analytical issues, instrument problems, and method performance to resolve testing challenges efficiently. Contribute to method development and improvement activities to enhance analytical capability, efficiency, and robustness. Ensure laboratory cleanliness and organization by maintaining a tidy workspace, managing inventory, and supporting proper storage of chemicals and samples. Handle and dispose of chemical and laboratory waste in accordance with safety procedures and environmental regulations. Comply with safety regulations, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements, including FDA, ISO, EPA, and GMP guidelines. Participate in investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results, support root cause analysis, and contribute to corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and R D teams to align testing activities with project timelines and operational needs. Support data management by accurately recording, organizing, and maintaining laboratory data and test records. Lift and carry laboratory materials and equipment up to 15 lbs as needed for daily operations. Essential Skills 1-3 years of laboratory experience in an analytical, pharmaceutical, medical device, or manufacturing setting preferred. Hands-on experience with analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation, particularly HPLC and GC. Ability to perform analytical testing using HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis in a controlled laboratory environment. Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Familiarity with working under GMP and other regulatory frameworks such as FDA, ISO, and EPA. Ability to interpret, analyze, and document test results accurately and clearly. Experience with laboratory data analysis and data management. Knowledge of general chemistry principles and laboratory practices. Ability to maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments. Capability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs safely as part of daily laboratory activities. Strong attention to detail, organization, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or related regulated industry. Experience in analytical chemistry, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline. Experience with laboratory testing in GMP environments. Familiarity with quality systems and documentation in regulated settings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
