Laboratory Assistant 2 University of California - Riverside $53,891 - $63,663 United States, California, Oakland Mar 24, 2026
We require a lab assistant who can perform bioinformatic analysis required for the project work, conduct RNA and DNA extractions, maintain greenhouse and field inventories using database programs, Breeding Information Management system tools, and perform other duties as required. We employ undergraduate students to help with the breeding and plant maintenance requirements. The hired individual should be able to treat the lab team with respect and work cooperatively with the team members. Our research is basically grant-funded. Completing the project objectives within the specified time is of paramount importance. The full salary range for the Lab Assistant is $25.81 - $30.49 per hour. However, the expected starting pay for this position is $25.81 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements
