Position Overview The position will involve working in the refrigerant reclamation laboratory and screening used refrigerant impurities. The individual will learn to analyze refrigerants to determine if they meet the industry's standard. Learning Hudson's refrigerant separation process and operating the equipment within the laboratory will also be required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Understand, from a chemical perspective, the refrigerant reclamation process and the analytical analyses performed to evaluate refrigerants integrity. Collect refrigerant samples from cylinders, drums and bulk storage tanks using various laboratory and chemistry techniques and prepare samples for analysis. Assemble cylinders for refrigerant collection and follow QC steps for them. Analyze samples using gas chromatography as needed. Perform wet chemistry and other titration techniques. Enter results from analysis into Refrigerant Handling System. Change GC carrier and fuel gas cylinders when necessary. (Cylinders weigh 200 pounds but can be moved with a hand cart) Work as a team with both lab, Sales and Customer Service to gather necessary data for the sample analysis. Frequent computer responsibilities using Microsoft Office programs. Be flexible regarding work schedule and be able to work overtime when requested. Any other duties as assigned by the Lab Manager.
Required Skills and Experience:
1-3 years comparable work experience High School graduate required. AA or BS degree preferred in science field preferred. Science Degree strongly preferred. Proficient in various computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel. The individual will be trained on analytical software.

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
