Job Description
We are seeking a Laboratory Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA. We hire passionate innovators who drive healthcare forward through thoughtful and inclusive collaboration. This role performs routine laboratory testing and supports analytical workflows to ensure high‑quality data for clinical research.
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform routine specimen analyses and document results in compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines. Evaluate analytical results and verify validity using laboratory computer system algorithms. Identify, document, and escalate unusual or questionable results to senior laboratory personnel. Prepare buffers, reagents, and solutions needed for testing. Conduct post‑analysis storage of samples and reagents. Assist in drafting and improving laboratory procedures and techniques. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment aligned with 6S standards. Communicate clearly and promptly with cross‑functional stakeholders regarding workflow and supply needs.What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's degree; someCAP/CLIA
locations may require a BS in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology. 6 months of basic laboratory experience, including routine testing and documentation Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and regulatory standards. The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed forThis Role:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures. Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control, hazardous chemical handling, and standard precautions. Understanding of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, terminology, and basic analytical principles. Strong attention to detail, workflow organization, documentation accuracy, and collaboration skills.What We Offer You:
