If you're ready to support cutting-edge research in water treatment product development, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a R D Lab Operations Specialist to manage and optimize daily lab operations at Aquamor. In this role, you'll ensure seamless lab activities, from handling lab service requests (LSRs) to maintaining inventory, ensuring safety compliance, and facilitating accurate testing processes. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions: Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and adherence to 6S principles. Manage and coordinate the Laboratory Sample Request (LSR) process. Perform laboratory setup, testing, sampling, data collection, and report preparation; maintain accurate testing records and documentation. Communicate testing methodologies, results, and report findings to internal stakeholders as needed. Coordinate and/or perform calibration of laboratory equipment, tools, and instruments. Maintain laboratory forms, templates, and reporting documents; create and revise documentation as required. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of laboratory consumables, chemicals, and testing supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations; track expiration dates and notify management of expired or soon-to-expire materials. Maintain and organize Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. Monitor laboratory operations to ensure compliance with safety standards, proper organization, and accountability of tools and equipment. Maintain an organized laboratory filing system, including electronic and physical records. Conduct routine laboratory inspections, walkthroughs, and light maintenance activities. Coordinate facility and equipment maintenance requirements with the Facilities department. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Education and Experience Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics, Environmental Science, or similar science degree—2 year minimum experience in consumer product development, engineering, Quality Assurance, or laboratory department testing will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum 1 year experience in water treatment product development or engineering field. Understanding of Engineering and Product Development Processes, Consumer Product Design, BOMs (Bill of Materials), inventory control, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems. Demonstrated experience and efficiency with Microsoft Office Applications. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position also must perform work in the R D laboratories, Quality, and manufacturing areas, and during those times you must wear personal protection equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particulates, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee may be occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the job site: the employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions in the temperature of the facility such as heat in the summer and cold in the winter. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is primarily dependent on the use of hands and hand tools, must be able to walk from facility to facility, bending, crouching, climbing stairs and ladders, but can also require extended periods of sedentary time at a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and must be able to speak on the telephone for a small percentage of the day. The employee is frequently required to stand; to walk; to use hands and fingers to handle objects, turn dials, and type on keyboard; and must be able to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
