Lab Technician (Part-Time / Full-Time) Ecoatex - Turlock, CA About Ecoatex Ecoatex is an innovative materials startup developing sustainable, bio-based alternatives to leather and other textiles. We combine chemistry, material science, and circular design to create eco-friendly materials derived from agricultural residues. Position Overview Ecoatex is seeking a Lab Technician to support research and development in materials and chemistry. The technician will assist in lab operations, formulation preparation, and experimental testing as part of our sustainability-driven R&D team. This position is ideal for a student nearing completion of a relevant degree or an early-career professional interested in sustainable materials science. The role offers growth potential to Lab Manager or R&D Manager within one year, depending on performance and company needs. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and mix formulations for material development experiments
- Conduct basic wet-lab procedures, weighing and measuring materials accurately
- Maintain organized lab notebooks and digital data records
- Keep shared lab areas clean and well-stocked
- Support experimental testing and report results
- Assist with equipment calibration and routine maintenance
- Research and summarize scientific literature when needed Qualifications
