In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately handling and processing various clinical specimens, ensuring the integrity and quality of samples for diagnostic testing. Your expertise will support laboratory management, uphold strict laboratory procedures, and contribute to timely and precise patient results. to join our growing clinical laboratory team. Responsibilities Receive, label, and process clinical specimens according to established protocols, maintaining specimen integrity throughout the workflow. Prepare samples for testing by centrifuging, aliquoting, or other laboratory procedures while adhering to safety standards. Manage laboratory inventory, ensuring proper storage conditions and stock levels of supplies used in specimen processing. Maintain detailed documentation of all specimen handling activities, including logging sample receipt, processing steps, and storage locations. Follow all laboratory management policies to ensure compliance with health regulations, medical terminology standards, and anatomy knowledge requirements. Assist with laboratory maintenance tasks such as cleaning workstations, calibrating equipment, and ensuring a sterile environment for all procedures. Skills PC skills in MS office applications Communicates effectively with all levels of internal and external staff Maintains composure while working under pressure Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills that fosters a positive attitude at all times Demonstrates flexibility and is able to adapt to changes in work assignments Demonstrates strong leadership and ability to resolve complex specimen processing related questions/issues Experience Prior reference laboratory experience or research laboratory experience is required. A valid MLT license is required Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory management systems and procedures related to specimen processing. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts, and hospital laboratory workflows. Certification in basic life support (BLS) is preferred to ensure safety during procedures involving patient interaction or sample handling. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and laboratory safety protocols is essential for success in this role.
