Minimum of an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science. 1-3 years Medical Laboratory Technician experience preferred. National certification ASCP or AMT or eligible. Current certification in BLS CPR. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Medical Technologist (MT) to join our dynamic clinical laboratory team. This role involves performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to support diagnostic and research activities, ensuring accurate and timely results. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, comprehensive knowledge of laboratory techniques, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care, clinical trials, and scientific research through precise laboratory work. Duties Conduct a variety of laboratory tests including ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood banking procedures with accuracy and efficiency. Manage specimen collection, processing, and analysis while adhering to strict aseptic techniques and laboratory protocols. Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data entry, sample tracking, and result documentation. Perform routine laboratory maintenance, calibration of equipment, and quality control checks to ensure optimal performance. Assist in clinical trial sample processing and research laboratory experiments by following detailed assay procedures. Interpret test results in the context of clinical information and communicate findings clearly to healthcare professionals or research teams. Maintain detailed records of all laboratory activities, specimen handling, and test outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards. Support laboratory management tasks such as inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Apply physiology knowledge for proper specimen collection techniques such as venipuncture and blood sampling. Participate in ongoing training on new laboratory techniques, medical terminology updates, and emerging technologies. Experience Proven clinical laboratory experience with a strong background in performing assays such as ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and blood banking procedures. Familiarity with laboratory management systems (LIMS) for data management and sample tracking. Hands-on experience with specimen collection methods including venipuncture and phlebotomy. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, vital signs measurement, and aseptic techniques relevant to laboratory procedures. Experience working within hospital settings or clinical laboratories is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets using data analysis skills for quality assurance or research purposes. Prior involvement in clinical trials or research laboratories that require meticulous attention to detail. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to hematology, immunology, biochemistry, and anatomy. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
