Geotechnical Lab Technician (Full-Time Only)

Pay:

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour Job description: Denver Geotechnical Consulting firm with over 50 years of local experience is currently seeking Full-Time Geotechnical Lab Technicians . The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting lab testing of soils, asphalt and concrete in accordance with appropriate ASTM, AASHTO, or company policies and procedures. As a Full-Time Geotechnical Lab Technicians , you will play a key role in supporting our geotechnical testing projects by performing a variety of tests (including swell/consolidation, atterberg limits, sieve analysis, proctor, and hydrometer tests and concrete compressive strength testing) and maintaining field equipment on a regular basis.

Applicant Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent.
• One year of experience in related field preferred, ideally in an AASHTO certified lab preferred but not required.
• Able to carry out verbal and written instructions effectively.
• Able to retrieve and interpret information from technical manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and skilled in working with numbers including mathematical calculations involving percentages, fractions and decimals.
• Able to perform wide range of physical activities, including sustained walking, bending, twisting, standing and reaching, and perform medium to heavy work including occasionally lifting over 50 pounds and exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
• Ability to enter data into a computer program.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test and have a clean background
