CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AND TESTING LABORATORY
is seeking a Laboratory Technician to assist the Lab Managers in running and operating all functions performed in the lab. The ideal candidate will work directly with lab managers, lab techs, and client reps while reporting results in a timely manner consistent with the company's policies and procedures. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to checking cylinder, grout and cube tags and samples for accuracy and validates same. Perform soils and concrete testing as well as work directly with administration on reporting accuracy for all field samples.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Record all sampled items from the field to include the chain of custody, with logins at the lab Review sample log for compliance to field logs Perform compression breaks for concrete, masonry and grout (includes capping) Perform all soils tests, fine and coarse aggregates, sieves, proctors and washes Prepare for CCRL in-house certifications Monitor all
NVLAP/ASTM
compliances for concrete, masonry, and grout, including support equipment, wet-room moisture content, temperature and cycling of cylinders Maintain associated support equipment for completion of all above tasks
Job Requirements:
Minimum education of a high-school diploma Good oral communication skills; ability to work well with staff and customers in a professional manner Must be detail-oriented Must be comfortable with math and computers Ability to handle multiple tasks Must be able to lift in excess of 65 lbs A valid driver's license STL is an equal-opportunity / affirmative-action employer.
