Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess strong skills in veterinary terminology and animal handling. This role involves working closely with various animals, performing laboratory tests, and assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of animal health issues. The Laboratory Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our patients while maintaining high standards of care. Duties Conduct laboratory tests and analyses on samples from animals to assist in diagnosis. Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all tools are clean and functioning properly. Assist veterinarians with procedures, including X-Ray imaging and other diagnostic tests. Handle animals safely and compassionately during examinations and treatments. Maintain accurate records of laboratory results, treatments, and patient information. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals' health and treatment plans. Stay updated on veterinary terminology, procedures, and best practices in animal care. Support kennel operations by providing grooming services when necessary. Qualifications Experience or training in veterinary technology or as a Veterinary Technician is preferred. Familiarity with kennel operations and animal care practices is desirable. Proficiency in veterinary terminology to facilitate effective communication within the team. Strong skills in animal handling to ensure safety for both the technician and the animals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
