It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services. The Greater Manchester Region serves a region of 300,000 people in 19 towns. Performs applied techniques for various chemical, microscopic, immunologic and/or microbiological tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Works as a high functioning multi-tasker between all departments of the Laboratory, including Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, and limited Serology and Microbiology. Receives and/or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis. Records laboratory test results. Performs training activities and special projects. In the absence of a Medical Technologist, may be asked to perform additional duties in order to ensure patient care needs are met through continuous work flow of the lab. Qualifications An Associate's Degree in Medical Technology. Certification as an MLT from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or ASCP Categorical Certification specific for the laboratory section employed in (H, C, M, BB) is required. Must have a minimum of one (1) year clinical laboratory experience. Phlebotomy experience is preferred. We take great care of careers.
