Full Job Description Travel Histology Laboratory Assistant Location:
Washington, DC Duration:
13
Weeks Shift:
Days, Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30
PM Setting:
Hospital Histology Laboratory Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent Laboratory Assistant experience (hospital setting preferred) Experience as a Laboratory Assistant is required (Phlebotomists will not be considered) Experience with specimen processing, data entry, and laboratory operations Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and specimen handling BLS preferred
Responsibilities:
Case assembly and slide delivery to Surgical Pathology and Pathologists Filing and organizing surgical blocks Assisting with specimen pickups from Surgical Pathology Supporting tissue processor changes Changing H&E stainers Managing laboratory supplies and inventory logs Assisting with additional histology lab duties as needed
Additional Information:
No weekends No call No floating Teaching hospital experience preferred COVID vaccine not required Flu vaccine required BI02
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
