Job Description
JSG is recruiting for a Lab Tech II in Millsboro DE. Pay $26.33/hour Join a Quality Control Laboratory team at a fast-paced facility where precision, safety, and scientific rigor matter every day. As a Lab Tech - II (Associate) , you'll conduct advanced laboratory procedures independently under the guidance of the area lead and department manager, supporting the testing of veterinary biologicals in accordance with strict government and company guidelines. You'll work with analytical instrumentation, follow aseptic technique and Good Lab Practices (GLP), maintain accurate documentation, and help ensure quality results from start to finish. Required Skills High School Diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years of laboratory experience Experience with analytical instrumentation Microscopic analysis and biological assays Strong understanding and application of aseptic technique and Good Lab Practices (GLP) Proven analytical aptitude and critical thinking skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Experience entering and maintaining accurate test results in a QC tracking system and cross-checking records Comfort performing concurrent record keeping (charts, log books, and documentation) Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations, conversions, and formulations Nice to Have Skills SAP experience or knowledge Experience with LIMS for EM Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a science discipline Experience working in quality testing environments involving biological materials (virus, bacteria, cell line, etc.) Other Requirements Environmental working conditions: indoor/outdoor work with varying temperatures , including entering coolers and freezers Physical requirements: majority of time spent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting ; able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis PPE required per Safety Policy (examples include safety glasses, safety shoes, LN gear, face shield, apron, gloves) Rabies titer and vaccination required post-offer once the worker begins their assignment and will be performed onsite Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe work environment and report unusual/non-routine occurrences Ability to clean and prepare lab work areas and support equipment set-up and operations Ability to manage labeling/accumulation of hazardous, universal, and/or infectious wastes when assigned Johnson Service Group, Inc.
