Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Lab Assistant to support a leading clinical research organisation through specimen processing, sample handling, and administrative support. This role primarily involves laboratory sample processing for early-phase research studies and may include occasional administrational duties. This role is a part-time position and has regular shifts on Mondays or Tuesdays (9am-2pm), with potential for additional hours. Experience handling 20-40 pharmacokinetic samples per shift and working with cold storage is essential. Key Responsibilities Process and label laboratory specimens and PK/PD collection tubes Monitor specimen collections and storage conditions Maintain clean, organised, and fully stocked lab areas Prepare lab requisitions and coordinate sample shipments Report abnormal findings or incidents to appropriate staff Support participant safety and comfort during procedures Transport collected specimens within the facility Perform basic data entry and documentation tasks Qualifications Phlebotomy certification or at least 6 months of relevant clinical/laboratory experience Prior experience working with cold storage. Clinical research experience preferred but not required Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical research guidelines (GCP/ICH) preferred Strong communication and organisational skills Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry systems
