We're seeking a Lab Technician to support our mission through drug and alcohol testing, client screening, and accurate reporting. About the Position If selected, you will oversee urinalysis and breathalyzer testing to monitor abstinence, perform screening and assessments, collect and analyze samples, and record results. Some of the essential functions of the
Lab Technician:
Monitor and track urine specimens for each client in both North County and South County locations. Data entry and reports (maintain accurate and detailed statistical records). Stay knowledgeable on and help update lab policies and procedures. Maintain equipment and chemical supplies. Supply the Court with written and/or oral reports as requested. Attend court hearings as needed. Inventory testing equipment and order all testing supplies. About the
Schedule Work Hours:
Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Schedules may be a combination of 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
About You Minimum Qualifications:
One year of college courses (30 credits) or technical school.
OR:
Six months of related experience and/or training.
OR:
Equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License by date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification on the program's urinalysis equipment may be required within 6 months of hire. ( We can help with this! ) Bachelor's degree in criminology, toxicology, or another related field. Prior lab experience or experience in a medical field.
CJIS Clearance:
The successful candidate will be subject to an extensive background check(s) as a part of the hiring process. Subject to
Passing Substance Screening:
This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five (5) years.
Physical Demands:
Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
About Everything Else Starting Pay:
$20.85/hr Our interview process could include phone interview(s), Microsoft Teams video interview(s), and/or in-person interview(s).
