Job Description

Lab Technician responsible for supporting R D chemistry projects through lab batch manufacturing, materials testing, application trials, documentation, and data reporting. Job Requirements College-level science coursework Lab experience in chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical, coatings, adhesives, or related product testing environment Ability to manufacture lab-scale batches with accuracy and consistency Ability to conduct materials testing and application trials Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to handle solvents and flammable chemicals Ability to read Safety Data Sheets for chemical hazards Ability to wear required PPE, including lab coat, safety glasses, and appropriate footwear Microsoft Office experience, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to maintain accurate lab notebooks, records, and testing documentation Ability to use formulation programs and ERP systems Preferred Skills Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Physical Science, or related field Coatings or adhesives lab experience 3 or more years of chemical manufacturing experience Pharmaceutical lab experience DOT product experience Recent graduate with chemistry or physical science background Experience with color matching Experience supporting R D Chemists on formulation projects Experience preparing organized data and project findings Job Responsibilities Assist R D Chemists with assigned product development and testing projects Prepare materials for formulation and testing activities Manufacture lab-scale batches of insulation and adhesive formulations Conduct product testing, including application trials and performance evaluations Apply coatings and evaluate results according to project testing protocols Support formulation tasks for coatings, adhesives, and related products Develop competency in color matching for coating and adhesive products Maintain accurate and organized records of lab activities and test results Document data in lab notebooks, formulation programs, and internal systems Present organized data and findings to lead chemists or R D teams during project updates Follow laboratory safety protocols when handling solvents, flammable materials, and chemicals Maintain clean and organized laboratory workspaces Monitor specific plant batches as assigned Retrieve raw materials from the plant for lab use
