Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities Maintain the surgical laboratory facility by stocking, cleaning, organizing and performing daily, weekly or monthly tasks as assigned. Percentage of time 40 Duties/Responsibilities Animal care includes monitoring of physical health/well-being and management. May assist with research involving shelter owned animals. Assist with the collection of blood by venipuncture, and urine by expression or free collection. Administration of treatments, drugs, fluids, medications and medications by oral, parenteral and injectable routes. Husbandry duties to include feeding, watering, exercising and cleaning. Enable sample collection through preparations, animal restraint, execution, processing. Administer medications. Enrich, and/or acclimate animals to new environments or equipment. Maintain accurate records and abide by the rules and regulations of the department, college, and university.
