Quality Control Lab Technician The Pittsburgh Paint Company United States, Georgia, Atlanta May 27, 2026
Description As a Lab Technician at The Pittsburgh Paints Company, you will conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests of liquid paint samples and analyze test data for quality control purposes. Tests will include wet properties such as viscosity, density, and percent non-volatile. You will work onsite in the Atlanta, GA plant on a 2nd shift from 3PM to 1:30 AM Monday through Thursday. The salaried range for this role starts at 54K - 83K. Key Responsibilities Ensures that accurate safety procedures and housekeeping are maintained and conducts work in a manner that protects yourself, co-workers, and the environment. Performs tinting, panel preparation, paint and coating evaluation, digital and visual color matching, and color quality control as required to support a variety of efforts. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment with limited supervision and will keep in orderly and clean condition (5S). Reports results (in charts, graphs, tables, and reports) in timely manner to meet project requirements. Participates in the quality process and maintains requirements for the laboratory. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED required, with a degree demonstrating chemis try, technical, math, mechanical, or engineering aptitude preferred. 2+ years' of experience in a laboratory setting would be beneficial. SAP and Excel experience. The Applicant will be required to complete a color assessment as part of the interview process.
