Job Description

Family Health Clinic is a rapidly growing primary/immediate care practice that is open 7 days a week with extended hours. Our diverse family of providers and staff take pride in practicing complete and comprehensive medicine by treating the entire patient, not just the problem. As a primary care practice, we serve patients of all ages including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. We are looking to add a qualified Lab Technician to our team. A candidate hired for this role will communicate directly with providers and staff. This role is responsible for prioritizing testing procedures and completing those procedures in an accurate and timely manner to help providers diagnose and treat diseases as well as maintaining proper and accurate records of all tests performed. All candidates will be required to float between our practice locations in McDonough, Locust Grove, and Zebulon. Responsibilities QC, Calibrations, Equipment Maintenance Receive, label, and analyze samples (blood, urine, bodily fluids, etc) Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations, and interpret findings Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions Record all data and results on specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies Ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintain a clean and orderly environment Assist with supply inventory Communicate regularly with managers to relay problems or concerns Opening and closing lab Perform additional duties as assigned Skills Proven experience as Lab Technician or relevant position Experience in operating electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment and potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, infectious bacteria, biohazards etc.) Ability to work autonomously and under pressure Licensed phlebotomist OR Medical Assistant OR Licensed Lab Technician OR MLT with medical laboratory sample processing and or phlebotomy experience.
