Job Description

OGA is seeking a full-time Laboratory Lead. This position will work during regular business hours at our Meridian clinic location. No evenings or weekends required.

Purpose :
The Lab Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily ongoing of the lab. The lab Lead acts as a liaison between the lab and other departments such as Billing, and will Providers, etc. The lab lead oversees and maintains compliance related regulations and updates. The Lab Lead works in the role of lead, as well as an active lab technician. The Lab lead will be responsible for performing blood draws, performing in-house lab testing as assigned and will prepare all specimens for external lab testing, with complete and accurate requisitions, coordinating pick-up and delivery with outside laboratories. In-house laboratory work including urine pregnancy tests, urinalysis, wet preps, coordination of microbiology specimens for contracted service and any other laboratory testing which the practice handles internally. The lab tech is also responsible for all quality control testing. The technician is responsible to verify the receipt of results for all labs ordered through the lab manifest as well as posting of results on EHR per each provider's protocol. Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Lab Tech Must have at least 1 year of Medical Lab Compliance experience
Physical Environment:
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal. Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday. Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
Pay:
$19.00-$23.00 per hour depending on experience, applicable certifications, etc.
