Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated QC Laboratory Technician to join our quality assurance team within a regulated laboratory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive testing and analysis of biological, chemical, and microbiological samples to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality protocols. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of research, development, and manufacturing processes by providing accurate data and ensuring adherence to regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, laboratory expertise, and a thorough understanding of scientific research methodologies to support our commitment to excellence in quality control.

M-F dayshift 7am - 3pm

$20.50
Duties:
Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory tests on biological samples, chemicals, and microbiological cultures following established protocols and standard operating procedures. Prepare reagents, solutions, and media necessary for various laboratory analyses in accordance with safety and quality standards. Operate and calibrate laboratory instrumentation such as microscopes, spectrophotometers, PCR machines, and microbiological testing equipment. Collect, document, and analyze data accurately using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to support research & development projects and quality assurance activities. Perform microbiological testing including sterility checks, environmental monitoring, and pathogen identification in compliance with industry standards. Maintain detailed records of all experiments, test results, deviations, and corrective actions in accordance with GLP and CGMP guidelines. Assist in method validation, equipment qualification, and calibration activities to ensure consistent laboratory performance. Support compliance audits by preparing documentation that demonstrates adherence to FDA regulations and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including research scientists, manufacturing personnel, and regulatory staff to ensure product quality. Follow strict safety protocols related to handling hazardous materials, biological agents, and chemical reagents. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Veterinary Science or related scientific field; additional certifications in laboratory techniques are advantageous. Proven experience working in an industrial or clinical laboratory environment with knowledge of regulations, and microbiology practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures involving molecular biology techniques such as PCR or histology is preferred. Strong understanding of animal physiology terminology relevant to biological testing. Experience operating Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data collection and reporting. Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail for accurate data recording and interpretation. Knowledge of research laboratory practices including scientific research methodologies. Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as sample preparation, microscopy, sterile technique, and chemical handling. Strong math skills for calculations related to sample dilutions, concentrations, and statistical analysis. Ability to follow complex protocols precisely while maintaining flexibility for troubleshooting unexpected issues.
