Job Description Eurofins Built Environment Testing is proactively seeking a Laboratory Technician to temporarily join our Naperville site. This position will be offered as a t emporary position that will support the laboratory processing samples from May

The Laboratory Technician will need a solid understanding of microbiological techniques, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, repetitive environment. Sucessful training for position must be completed within two weeks of the start date. Training will consist of filtering and plating biological concentrates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Perform routine microbiological laboratory procedures and analyses + Maintain, calibrate, clean and test sterility of lab equipment + Isolate and make cultures of bacteria or other microorganisms + Document all data and results in specified forms + Conduct microbial analyses of samples collected from various sources + Adhere to correct procedures, policies, and health/safety guidelines + Prepare specimens and samples for testing + Work in compliance with laboratory safety standards + Prepare detailed reports of laboratory results and findings

Qualifications Education/Experience :

+ AS or BS degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field + Proven work experience as a Microbiology Laboratory Technician or in transferable laboratory setting + Hands-on experience with relevant equipment, procedures, and safety regulations + Knowledge of modern microbiological techniques + Experience in preparing cultures of bacteria and other microorganisms + Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills + Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment + Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English Ability and/or
