Job Description The successful R D Laboratory Operations Technician IV will support Allergan Aesthetics Biological Research by coordinating and optimizing laboratory operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and continuity across the research environment. Will engage in multi-disciplinary interaction with EH&S, Managed Lab Services, Facilities Maintenance, and R D Engineering with emphasis on planning, coordinating and executing logistical lab operations.
Responsibilities include:
scheduling equipment technician visits and coordinating access to restricted lab spaces; organizing research lab equipment through their entire lifecycle and timely completion of appropriate documentation including installation, induction, movement and modification, inactive and retirement, decontamination as well as repair and calibration schedules; coordinating with the Laboratory Operations team to maintain health of lab freezers including seldom off-hours emergency response; facilitating safety inspections, and general lab orderliness; tracking and ordering compressed gases; collaborating with scientists to resolve lab related operational issues; overall building safety; dispersing deliveries; etc. This position is based onsite in our Irvine, CA office (Mon- Fri) Qualifications Education and Experience College degree in Life Science or Chemistry (Associates degree with equivalent work experience will also be considered). Two or more years of previous work experience within laboratory preferred (college lab experience may be considered). Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials) Must have high proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Must possess good communication, organizational, and time-management skills and have good attention to detail. Candidate should also possess good written and verbal skills. Must be a self-starter, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively. Must be comfortable handling chemicals and research materials. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and crouch and stand for long periods. Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on manyfactors including geographiclocation,andwemay ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may bemodified in thefuture. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick),medical/dental/visioninsurance and 401(k) to eligibleemployees. This job is eligible toparticipate in our short-term incentiveprograms.
