Job Description

Support critical laboratory operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment where your attention to detail directly contributes to accurate diagnoses and patient care. This Medical/Clinical Lab Assistant opportunity offers hands-on experience in specimen handling and laboratory processes with a leading diagnostics organization.

Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays Why This Role Matters This position plays a vital role in ensuring laboratory efficiency and accuracy by supporting specimen preparation, processing, and quality control—key components in delivering timely and reliable diagnostic results. What You'll Do Sort and receive specimens and prepare them for testing Perform centrifugation, aliquoting, and specimen inspection (clots, fibrin, etc.) Build worklists, print labels, and support specimen tracking and retrieval Conduct routine instrument maintenance and assist with reagent/media preparation Record data such as temperature logs and maintain departmental records Perform QA/QC duties and resolve pending or missing specimen issues Maintain a clean, safe work environment including decontamination and biohazard disposal Follow all PPE, safety, and compliance protocols Operate laboratory systems and standard computer equipment What We're Looking For A current, up-to-date resume High school diploma or equivalent Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks Basic computer proficiency and comfort working with laboratory systems Ability to retain and apply learned processes accurately Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, team-oriented approach Coursework in math/science and/or medical assistant training preferred Prior lab or production environment experience is a plus (not required) Ability to meet compliance requirements including immunizations (Flu, TDAP, Varicella, MMR, TB test required; COVID & Hep B recommended) What's In It For You Entry into the clinical laboratory field with no prior experience required Hands-on training in laboratory procedures and systems Consistent weekday schedule with early shift hours Opportunity to build healthcare and diagnostic experience Exposure to a fast-paced, production-focused environment Potential pathway to long-term opportunities Benefits for Manpower Associates (Upon Eligibility) Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for: Medical and Prescription Drug Plans Dental Plan Supplemental Life Insurance Short Term Disability Insurance 401(k)
