Laboratory Assistant Essential Job Duties:

Follows Lab and Medical Group policies under manager's supervision for accurate testing and reporting of laboratory results. Performs a wide range of laboratory tests, including CLIA waived and moderate complexity tests, utilizing automated, semi-automated, and manual systems. Handles diverse specimen types, including blood, urine, CSF, and body fluids, with careful evaluation and preparation. Maintains quality control, calibrates instruments, troubleshoots equipment, and ensures adherence to laboratory regulations. Assists in training new staff, maintains patient confidentiality, participates in problem-solving, and engages in continuous education, while proficiently collecting blood specimens and performing related duties.
