Job Description
- Performance of waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing
- Specimen collection, processing, and preparation for in-house and reference laboratory testing
- Use of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) for documentation, reporting, and result transmission (Unit / Dept.) Successes and Designation
- Provides comprehensive laboratory testing services supporting inpatient and outpatient care
- Maintains compliance with
CLIA 1988
standards and laboratory best practices- Plays a critical role in diagnostic accuracy and patient safety across the organization (Unit / Dept.) Training & Onboarding Culture

Essential Job Duties:
- Perform and report waived and moderate complexity laboratory tests using automated, semi-automated, and manual systems
- Prepare specimens for in-house testing and referral to reference laboratories, including verification, labeling, centrifugation, storage, and transport
- Perform and document Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) activities per laboratory policies
- Prepare, calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
- Assist with maintaining adequate laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted testing
- Collect blood and other patient specimens
- Enter patient demographics, specimen information, and test results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Generate, transmit, and deliver laboratory reports as directed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution or
- High school graduate or equivalent with completion of an official military medical laboratory training program (minimum 50 weeks) and appropriate military laboratory specialty
- Must meet
CLIA 1988
requirements for personnel performing moderately complex testing Licenses /Certifications:
