This role involves assisting with basic laboratory tasks, specimen collection, and supporting laboratory operations to ensure efficient patient care in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience or training in laboratory procedures is a plus, but no degree is required.

Shift:

Day-Shift | 7:00 AM - 3:00

PM Key Responsibilities:

Collect and prepare specimens such as blood, urine, and other bodily fluids following established protocols. Assist with basic laboratory testing under supervision, including preparing samples and operating simple lab equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory area and equipment. Follow safety and infection control procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Record and document laboratory activities accurately. Support inventory management of supplies and reagents. Communicate effectively with clinical staff to provide timely assistance. Follow instructions and protocols provided by licensed laboratory personnel. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of 1 year in a hospital setting is required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.

Work Environment:

This role involves working in a clinical laboratory within an emergency room setting, with exposure to biological materials and the need for strict safety practices. Flexibility in scheduling, including potential on-call hours, may be required.
