POSITION SUMMARY
Marathon Petroleum Company, LP the fourth largest petroleum refining and marketing corporation in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Utility Lab Tester at its Catlettsburg, Kentucky refinery.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform product and process lab testing on petroleum distillates, black oil, diesel, and water per Marathon and ASTM standardized methods. Input lab results in the LIMS database. Issue Certificates of Analyses for finished product. Support refinery operations, terminals, and customers. Drive a company vehicle to pick up and deliver samples. Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shift schedule.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A
high school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a 4-year bachelor's degree in a science related field and a minimum of four (4) college courses in chemistry and two (2) college chemistry lab courses from an accredited technical college or university is required. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date) A valid driver's license is preferred.
