Full Job Description Pay Base Rate:
$17.50/hr 2nd
Shift Differential:
+10% ($19.25/hr) 3rd

+15% ($20.13/hr) Schedule Tuesday - Saturday 1st Shift (Days) 2nd Shift (Afternoons) 3rd Shift (Overnights) Fully onsite About the Role Our PPD® Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists, industry thought‑leaders, and therapeutic experts. As an Associate Sample Coordinator, you will perform duties and training required for sample and standard handling in support of laboratory operations. This role provides administrative and operational support within the Sample Management department while following SOPs, applicable client procedures, and regulatory guidelines with modest supervision. Key Responsibilities Perform a variety of inventory tracking and administrative tasks including sample receipt, check‑in, login, labeling, inventory, transport, storage, and check‑out. Communicate task status to supervisors and appropriate laboratory staff. Train on SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and storage requirements. Support responses to environmental unit alarms and may participate in on‑call responsibilities. Complete daily assignments accurately, safely, and on time. Responsibilities may vary by shift; all shifts are trained to perform all core sample processing functions. Shift‑specific focus areas include: 1st
Shift:
Initial receipt of boxes and accessioning individual samples using the Laboratory Information Management System. 2nd
Shift:
Completing shipment receipt and beginning storage of samples on dry ice and in −70°C freezer units. 3rd
Shift:
Sample storage, retrieval, and space optimization, including handling samples stored at −70°C, −20°C, and in liquid nitrogen. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; relevant academic or vocational qualification required. No prior experience required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Strong time management skills and ability to maintain detailed tracking and documentation according to SOPs. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks. Environment Laboratory and cleanroom setting with fluctuating hot and cold temperatures. Standing for the full shift. Able to lift and move objects weighing 15-40 lbs without assistance.

no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, or facial hair permitted. May involve exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents commonly found in healthcare or laboratory environments.
