- Full-time About TruDiagnostic TruDiagnostic is a leading epigenetic testing company at the forefront of the longevity and preventive health revolution.
Operating out of our CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory, we leverage the largest private DNA methylation database in the world to give healthcare providers, individuals, and researchers the insights they need to understand aging at the molecular level and take proactive steps toward better health. Our science is not developed in isolation. We co-develop and peer-review our algorithms in partnership with world-leading institutions including Harvard, Yale, Duke, Stanford, and Columbia, and our work powers more than 300 research studies and a growing body of peer-reviewed publications. Our flagship TruAge™ platform measures biological age across hundreds of thousands of methylation markers, drawing on validated algorithms like DunedinPACE and the OMICm Age algorithm we developed alongside Harvard. We are driven by a deep passion for a future where aging is understood, health is optimized, and lives are truly transformed. As a rigorous, cutting-edge scientific company, the quality of our work begins in the lab. If you're eager to do meaningful, high-precision science and help people live healthier, longer, more vibrant lives, we invite you to join our mission. About This Role This is a launchpad role. If you're in a gap year before med school, building hands-on bench experience ahead of a PhD program, or simply hungry to break into molecular biology and the longevity field, this is a place to start. The Level 1 Molecular Laboratory Technician is the entry point into our molecular laboratory, built for someone early in their journey who wants to learn the craft of high-quality molecular work in a real, regulated, research-driven environment. You'll work hands-on at the bench every day, performing foundational laboratory tasks under direct supervision, with a heavy emphasis on procedural accuracy, quality, and compliance. You'll build fundamentals that carry into clinical or research careers: how a real molecular lab runs, how scientific rigor is maintained, and how the testing behind published research actually gets done. Many of the techniques and habits you'll develop here are exactly what graduate and medical programs want to see, and what serious science is built on. We can take a motivated person new to the field and make them productive quickly. What we care about most is curiosity, professionalism, and a quality-and-compliance mindset. You don't need a long résumé. You need to be sharp, dependable, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to science that matters. All laboratory roles are structured to comply with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). Scope of duties is determined by education, experience, documented competency, and formal designation by laboratory leadership. No employee may perform duties outside their approved scope or release patient results unless explicitly authorized under CLIA regulations. Key Responsibilities Perform sample intake, accessioning, and initial sample preparation Conduct DNA and RNA extraction and preparation following validated protocols Assist with DNA and RNA quantification and related preparatory steps once competency has been documented Maintain accurate laboratory records, logs, and documentation in accordance with CLIA requirements Follow all laboratory safety, quality control, and compliance procedures Learn and consistently apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Support research and development activities separate from CLIA-regulated patient testing, as assigned Perform other duties as assigned Scope and CLIA Compliance All testing activities are performed under direct supervision Does not independently interpret data, validate assays, modify protocols, or release patient test results Does not perform final result reporting or clinical interpretation What We're Looking For We can teach the technical skills. What matters most is that you bring curiosity, professionalism, and a quality-and-compliance mindset. We're looking for someone who follows procedures carefully, asks good questions, takes ownership of their work, and wants to be part of building a great lab. Required Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, or related), or equivalent experience Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures precisely Knowledge of, or genuine interest in learning, laboratory safety practices and CLIA quality standards Strong written and verbal communication skills A collaborative attitude and a desire to learn and grow Preferred Qualifications Prior laboratory experience, academic or industry Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques (DNA and RNA extraction, PCR) Exposure to a CLIA, COLA, or CAP-regulated lab environment Growth Path Level 1 is the foundation of our technician career track, and a strong stepping stone whether your next move is up within our lab or onward to graduate or medical school. With demonstrated competency, consistency, and a track record of quality and professionalism, technicians can advance toward Level 2 and Senior roles with increasing autonomy and responsibility. Advancement is evaluated holistically, not on tenure alone, but on knowledge, ownership, and contribution to the health and operations of the lab. Job titles and internal levels are used for organizational and compensation purposes and do not supersede CLIA-defined personnel roles. Formal CLIA role designation is determined by laboratory leadership based on regulatory requirements.
