Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Laboratory Assistant
  • I, where you will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations across clinical, research, and hospital settings.
This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in laboratory management, specimen processing, and patient sample collection while contributing to vital medical and scientific advancements. You will work closely with experienced professionals to ensure accurate testing, proper specimen handling, and adherence to safety protocols. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help maintain the highest standards of laboratory excellence and patient care. Duties Assist with laboratory management tasks, including inventory control and equipment maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations Perform specimen collection and processing, including venipuncture (blood draws), spinal taps, and other sample procedures Support laboratory procedures by preparing samples, labeling specimens accurately, and maintaining detailed records Apply aseptic techniques during sample handling to prevent contamination and ensure safety Conduct basic laboratory techniques such as centrifugation, microscopy, and reagent preparation under supervision Assist with clinical tests related to physiology, cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), pediatrics, and veterinary terminology as needed Follow medical terminology and laboratory protocols precisely to ensure accurate results and compliance with health standards Skills Strong knowledge of laboratory management practices and laboratory procedures Proficiency in laboratory techniques including specimen collection, processing, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and spinal taps Familiarity with aseptic technique to maintain sterile environments during sample handling Experience or training in clinical or research laboratories is highly desirable Understanding of physiology concepts relevant to hospital-based testing and catheterization procedures Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately for documentation and communication purposes Knowledge of anatomy, veterinary terminology, and pediatric considerations enhances versatility in the role Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred for ensuring safety during procedures This paid position offers a unique chance to grow your expertise within a supportive environment committed to excellence in healthcare.
