Job Description

Job Overview We are an equine hospital seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician with a specialized focus in Microbiology to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of laboratory procedures to support equine clinical diagnostics, research initiatives, and clinical trial activities. Your expertise will contribute to accurate on site specimen analysis, data management, and the advancement of microbiological testing techniques. You will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of laboratory results and supporting patient care through meticulous laboratory practices.
Requirements:
Proven experience working in a clinical or research laboratory setting with a focus on microbiology or related fields. Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as
PCR, ELISA
Strong data management skills with experience Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and blood banking procedures relevant to laboratory testing. Hands-on experience with specimen collection techniques including venipuncture and phlebotomy is helpful but not required Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure contamination-free work environments. Excellent attention to detail combined with analytical skills for data analysis and interpretation of complex results. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced hospital or research environments while maintaining accuracy. Effective communication skills for documenting procedures clearly and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
