Our client is an industry leader focusing on Aerospace, Construction, Energy, Environmental, Life Sciences, and Industrials. They are hiring Lab Technicians for their growing team in Lafayette, Louisiana!

Laboratory Technician I Location:
Lafayette, Louisiana Job type : Contract - hire
Shift:
M-F 8-5 (rotational weekend work) Pay rate: $19- $20/hr.
Position Summary:
The Laboratory Technician I performs a variety of routine and non-routine laboratory testing assignments while ensuring accurate and timely test results under direct supervision. This role supports daily laboratory operations by preparing test specimens, operating testing equipment, recording data, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The technician is expected to follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare material specimens and samples for testing procedures Perform laboratory tests according to customer specifications and established protocols Operate under the guidance of senior laboratory technicians and/or department management Accurately gather, document, and maintain test data and results Construct, modify, and maintain laboratory fixtures and testing equipment Assist with routine laboratory maintenance and organization Follow all laboratory safety regulations, company policies, and code of conduct requirements Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of laboratory tools and materials Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred College coursework or vocational training in science, laboratory technology, or related fields is a plus 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or testing-related environment preferred Basic understanding of laboratory testing concepts and procedures Familiarity with laboratory safety practices Basic computer and data entry skills Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts is preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment INDBH #LI-AH1
