Job Description
Accu Reference Medical Lab is looking to hire a Laboratory Specimen Accessioner.
NIGHT SHIFT.
Monday-Friday (w/Rotating weekends) 10 pm- 6:30 am .
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process via data entry and accession multiple types of specimens and testing orders for laboratory analysis
- Perform specimen or reception check, and records information into LIS-Z
- Cleans work area and surrounding laboratory after completion of work day
- Requisition Review and restock department daily
- Handle hazardous waste in accordance to preset policies, protocols and regulatory standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a similar setting
- Must have excellent data entry skills
- Understanding of laboratory quality control and assurances a plus
- Knowledge of general laboratory safety issues and universal precautions a plus
