Job Description

Westaff has a temp opening for a Lab Assistant for a great company in Port Allen. Hours would be Tuesday•Friday 5am•3:30pm.
Duties:
Working in a quality lab setting as well as on the plant floor. Pulling samples from packaging lines, examining bags and comparing them to spec sheets, then performing multiple quality tests in the quality lab. Must have knowledge of technology•being able to use computers and ipads, and will need to be able to operate testing equipment•some of which involves mixing chemicals. Must be able to follow SOPs/work instructions on how to perform tests, follow all GMPs at all times, and communicate to the QA team of any out of spec results. Responsible for cleaning tasks in the lab and in the retain area on the plant floor. Computer and Tablet experience. Some food production helpful. Lab experience helpful.
