Laboratory & Production Support Technician

Job Summary American Biocarbon, in White Castle, LA is seeking a motivated, positive, and dedicated individual to support the daily operation and upkeep of a small chemistry laboratory located next to our biomass processing facility. We convert surplus sugarcane bagasse into value-added materials for various markets. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, is flexible, and is comfortable moving between a laboratory environment and an active production/industrial setting. About the Role The Laboratory & Production Support Technician will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and functional laboratory used for routine sample analysis. You will report to the Chief technical scientist who will initially provide direct coaching on running and maintaining the laboratory (including protocol development, setting up laboratory experiments, testing samples, reporting on results, etc. You will also collaborate closely with other personnel at the company, involved with sample inventory and production records, as well as the Engineering and Field teams who rely on accurate sample data for operations. Key Responsibilities Maintain the daily organization, cleanliness, and readiness of the laboratory Maintain laboratory consumables, equipment, and supplies Assist with basic sample preparation and routine analytical tasks Coordinate with others on sample intake, tracking, and documentation Communicate with Engineering and Field teams who rely on accurate sample data for operations. Ensure safe handling of materials and adherence to laboratory protocols Support general facility operations as needed Why join us? Pay:

$31.25 - $33.65 per hour
