Job Description

General Summary:
The role involves performing skin and pulmonary function testing for clinic patients, instructing them in medication use, and guiding them through allergy management procedures per established protocols, while also supporting clinical research, scheduling, and maintaining patient records. The job requires effective communication with staff, quality control of clinical procedures, coordination of immunotherapy deliveries, and occasional travel to satellite locations to provide consistent high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting Tests and Instructions:
Perform skin testing and pulmonary function testing, and instruct patients in the use of study medications and procedures.
Patient Guidance and Communication:
Explain allergy environmental control measures to patients and parents, and communicate issues to other staff as needed.
Scheduling and Database Management:
Schedule study patients, manage appointments through Epic, and maintain an updated database of immunotherapy patients.
Clinical Support and Quality Control:
Monitor quality control of clinical procedures, assist with clinical research studies, and occasionally perform Clinical Assistant duties.
Coordination and Logistics:
Coordinate the delivery of immunotherapy to clinic locations, conduct preliminary telephone interviews, and perform duties at satellite locations as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred Experience Pediatric Immunology Technician experience preferred.
License/Certification:
Must have a valid MA driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to satellite locations when necessary.
