job summary: Are you looking to advance your career with a premier global biotechnology leader? We are seeking a Bench Scientist II to join a rapidly growing DNA production group in Cambridge, MA. This fully onsite, 24-month contract offers a collaborative, high-throughput environment where you can work with cutting-edge lab technologies.
location:
Cambridge, Massachusetts job type: Contract salary: $40 - 42 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Execute core DNA production workflows, including transformations, sample prep, and culturing. Perform sample processing and quality control (QC) testing, and submit samples for sequencing. Manage incoming lab requests, coordinate team communications, and track crucial inventory data via LIMS and FreezerPro. Operate and maintain advanced automated instruments and liquid handling systems.
qualifications:
Required:
Hands-on experience in DNA production workflows. 2+ years of biotech industry experience (or a Master's degree with relevant lab experience). Solid background in molecular biology or biotechnology laboratory environments. Ability to thrive and maintain precision in a repetitive, production-focused environment.
Preferred:
Experience working within a CRO or a high-throughput pharma environment. Familiarity with automated liquid handlers (e.g., OpenTrons, Tecan, Biomek, Biotage) or Nanopore sequencing.
