Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening. How Will You Make an Impact? Our new Bioprocess Design Center is an innovative facility dedicated to demonstrating and training customers on our innovative single-use technologies, Upstream and Downstream solutions, cell culture media, cell lines, resin and analytical offerings. The respective personnel will help the BioProcess Design Center (BDC) with support in experiment execution and general lab upkeep allowing the lab to function more efficiently. This role will accelerate process and product development and enable new innovations in both upstream and downstream processing to be brought to market sooner. They will also have a significant impact on day-to-day lab maintenance activities, as well as bring improvements to the lab's upkeep and organization. What Will You Do? Assist with chromatography and cell culture experiment execution (20%) Maintain all lab equipment, work with facilities, engineering, and outside vendors on preventive maintenance schedule, commissioning new equipment, vendor appointment as and when required and maintain calibration status of all equipment (10%) Maintain accurate lab inventory of chemicals, common reagents, assay kits, assay standards, non-stock items, and other general lab consumables. Coordinate stocking needs with local procurement group on site (25%) Champion general lab organization and lead 5S for lab workspaces (5%) Assist in routine lab tasks, including but not limited to glassware cleaning, stocking supplies, freezer cleanup, periodic defrosting, etc. (15%) Work with receiving department to organize shipping and receipt of materials between sites and with client/vendors (5%) Work with lab coordinator to track expenses against budget and ensure invoices are paid, in addition to assisting in the annual budget planning process (5%) Work with facilities and safety for chemical waste management and tracking site safety metrics (5%) Prepare chromatography buffer, formulation buffers, cell culture medium etc. according to buffer sheets with quality and consistency as requested (10%) Assistance in sample aliquoting/preparation as needed Maintenance of balance weighing, pH meter, and DI water systems as needed How Will You Get Here?: Education Associates degree or equivalent experience with good communication and organizational skills Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Good communication and organizational skills Solid MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills Experience with SAP, Smartsheet, MS Project preferred Ability to adhere to standard procedures and protocols which are put in place Ability to prioritize between tasks in a changing environment Ability to write and document relevant tasks in a timely manner Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of functional groups Ability to organize tasks and work independently Aseptic technique experiences preferred Prior lab experience preferred We offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus scheme, healthcare, company 401k, and a range of employee benefits! This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
