Role & Responsibilities:
Plans, executes, and arranges laboratory experiments, new techniques and procedures; and performs laboratory techniques relating to scientific research. Perform a variety of laboratory techniques and procedures. Operates laboratory machines and instruments; and prepares specimens and equipment for use. Prepare materials and equipment for experiments. Work with a variety of routine and specialized laboratory instruments and equipment in the laboratory. Provides custom engineering solutions for 3DTBL and DPI 2 Performs advanced equipment maintenance Performs sample management and storage. Analyzes, documents and reports on all procedures performed. Work with staff on the maintenance of laboratory logs and databases. Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies. Ensure that supplies and consumables are ready and on hand as necessary for maximum efficiency in the laboratory. Cleans and sterilizes instruments, glassware and equipment. Performs advanced equipment maintenance. Plan execute and arrange laboratory experiments, new techniques and procedures; and performs laboratory techniques relating to scientific research: Identifies and implements advanced specialized technologies for functional measurements in 3D tissue models, e.g. muscle contraction. Perform fundamental procedures required for research projects. Perform a variety of laboratory techniques and procedures. Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies and initiates purchase orders: Order and maintain laboratory supplies, reagents and equipment.
Performs routine equipment maintenance:
Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules. Assist in troubleshooting and calibrating various laboratory equipment and instruments. Coordinate general laboratory maintenance, including equipment upkeep and calibration. Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on and generate maintenance reports for equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment. Monitor and maintain contracts for laboratory equipment and monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedule. Support operation of bioprinters. Lend expertise to configuration design of new equipment purchases when needed. Whenever needed, assist with mechanical difficulties or computer software issues. Plan execute and arrange laboratory experiments, new techniques and procedures; and performs laboratory techniques relating to scientific research: Identifies and implements advanced specialized technologies for functional measurements in 3D tissue models, e.g. muscle contraction Perform fundamental procedures required for research projects. Perform a variety of laboratory techniques and procedures. Analyzes, documents and reports on all procedures performed and produces detailed reports for use by senior staff: Contribute to manuscript writing as needed. Provides insights and expertise and recommends new strategies and approaches. Prepare reports and summaries; prepare data for presentation at laboratory meetings. Write reports detailing experiments and data analysis; produce publication quality graphs.
Performs advanced equipment maintenance:

Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on and generate maintenance reports for equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment. Trains staff in performing routine laboratory tests and procedures: Provide training to new users on the operation and software of bioprinters Provide technical help and expertise to lab members. Train new staff on the use, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Train new laboratory members in the correct use of equipment, application of techniques and laboratory protocols. Provides insights and expertise and recommends new strategies and approaches: Identifies and implements advanced specialized technologies for functional measurements in 3D tissue models, e.g. muscle contraction.

Work products and documents related to attending training programs, researching industry techniques, evaluating emerging technologies, and supporting procurement activities, including orders for equipment and consumables in the
POTS/SOS
system, obtaining quotes, negotiating pricing, and required documentation. Work products and documents related to attending meetings, presenting research findings, documenting results, preparing manuscripts for submission to scientific journals, and publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts as first author. Work products and documents related to inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment. Work products and documents related to training and mentoring laboratory personnel on technologies used to generate and assess the function of neural models. Work products and documents related to establishing collaborative projects within the laboratory, across client, and with external academic partners to develop enabling engineering solutions. - Ad-Hoc.
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree.
