Pay Rate:

$45•46 per hour (based on experience) Job Summary Huron Valley Sinai Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) with at least 1 year of recent, relevant laboratory experience for a 12‑week renewable contract . This role supports diagnostic testing during the mid‑shift (3:00 PM•11:00 PM) and plays a critical role in ensuring timely, accurate laboratory results in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Collect, label, process, and analyze patient specimens in accordance with hospital protocols Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation Perform and document quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance Review, verify, and report laboratory test results in a timely manner Adhere to laboratory safety standards, infection control practices, and CLIA regulations Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals Maintain accurate records within the laboratory information system (LIS) Required Qualifications Associate degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification (as required by facility) Knowledge of laboratory safety, quality control, and regulatory requirements Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during mid‑shift hours Preferred Qualifications Prior hospital or acute care laboratory experience Experience working afternoon or evening shifts Familiarity with automated lab equipment and LIS platforms Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay: $45•46/hour (W‑2) Overtime paid in accordance with federal and Michigan labor laws Workers' compensation and unemployment insurance coverage Additional benefits may be available depending on assignment and employer policy Employment Requirements Successful completion of background check and drug screening per hospital policy Proof of education, certification, and authorization to work in the United States Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Equal Employment Opportunity Huron Valley Sinai Hospital and its staffing partners are Equal Opportunity Employers .
