Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is available for experienced Medical Technologists or Medical Lab Technicians in Dearborn, MI. This role provides the chance to apply specialized skills in a dynamic clinical laboratory environment supporting critical patient care processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform select laboratory procedures on blood and other body fluids or specimens, following established protocols. Utilize manual techniques and operate laboratory instruments, including Beckman Coulter equipment; AU system experience is preferred. Work with laboratory information systems to ensure accurate data management; candidates with Sunquest LIS experience are highly desirable. Assist with phlebotomy duties as needed. Collaborate under supervision from laboratory technologists, leaders, or supervisors to maintain quality standards.Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Completion of an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science. Certification from a nationally recognized agency such as ASCP or NCA. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency with Beckman Coulter equipment, with preferred AU system knowledge. Experience with Sunquest LIS and laboratory automation preferred.Location Overview:
