Job Description

Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is available for skilled Medical Laboratory Technologists and Medical Lab Technicians specializing in clinical laboratory procedures. This role requires hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and involves performing select diagnostic tests on blood and other body fluids under guided supervision.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science Certification from a recognized national certifying agency such as ASCP or NCA Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in medical laboratory technology or a similar role Proficiency with Beckman Coulter equipment; experience with AU systems preferred Preferred experience with Sunquest Laboratory Information System (LIS) and laboratory automation technologies
Responsibilities:
Perform manual and instrument-based laboratory testing of biological specimens following established protocols Operate and maintain laboratory equipment ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results Collaborate with laboratory supervisors and team members to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic output May perform phlebotomy to collect specimens when necessary Document and report findings responsibly in compliance with regulatory standards
