General responsibilities include following our proprietary procedures to prepare and process the samples, prepare necessary reagents/solutions, data entry and analysis, and laboratory quality control including documentation of work and results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of sample test results
  • Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
  • Be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either must correct the problems or immediately notify the manager
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all supplies, materials, and reagents
  • Analyze and record data in accordance with quality control specifications
Qualifications:
Hands on experience with PCR, aseptic technique, and overall good laboratory procedures is essential. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, self-motivated and a team player with exceptional organizational skills and above average written and verbal communication skills. "Best in class" attention to detail required.
Education Required:
  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical, physical or biological science.
Preferred:
  • Prior experience working in a cannabis laboratory
