Job Description
Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Join a healthcare setting in Warren, MI, as a Medical Laboratory Technician on a 13-week contract. This role involves performing selected procedures on blood and other bodily fluids using manual techniques and laboratory instruments under the supervision of technologists or supervisors.
Responsibilities:
Conduct laboratory tests on blood and body fluid specimens following established protocols. Utilize Beckman Coulter equipment, with a preference for experience on the AU system. Support phlebotomy procedures as needed. Operate laboratory information systems; experience with Sunquest LIS and automation preferred. Maintain accurate records and ensure quality control standards are met.Qualifications:
Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science. Certification from a recognized national certifying agency such as ASCP or NCA. Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or in a similar role. Proficiency working with Beckman Coulter equipment (AU system preferred). Preference given to candidates with experience in Sunquest LIS and laboratory automation systems.Location:
